Call to Worship                        ÒPrelude in C-majorÓ                                      J.S. Bach

Greeting  (Adapted from 2 Corinthians 13:14)

(L)  May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,...the Holy Spirit be with you all.

(R) And also with you.

(L)  Let we who are many join in one heart and voice to worship the God who is

three yet one.

Announcements, Concerns, Joys, & Opening Prayer

*Responsive Reading (Based on Psalm 147:1-7)

(L)  How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise

our Lord!

(R) The Lord builds up his people; he gathers the exiles, he heals the

Brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

(L)  Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.

(R) Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; let us make music to our God.

*Hymn                                  ÒLet All Things Now LivingÓ                                554

Let all things now living A song of thanksgiving

To God our Creator triumphantly raise;

Who fashioned and made us, Protected and stayed us,

By guiding us on to the end of our days.

God's banners are o'er us, Pure light goes before us,

A pillar of fire shining forth in the night:

Till shadows have vanished, All fearfulness banished,

As forward we travel from light into Light.

By law God enforces. The stars in their courses,

The sun in its orbit obediently shine;

The hills and the mountains, The rivers and fountains,

The depths of the ocean proclaim God divine.

We, too, should be voicing Our love and rejoicing

With glad adoration, a song let us raise:

Till all things now living Unite in thanksgiving,

To God in the highest, hosanna and praise.

Profession of Faith  (Remembering Our Baptism)

(L)  The Father says, "You are my child, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."

(R) How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called

children of God, for that is what we are.

(L)  The Son says, ÒI am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  To

those who are thirsty I will give drink without cost from the spring of the water

of life.Ó

(R) Everyone who drinks the water you give, Lord Jesus, will never thirst.

Indeed, the water you give becomes in us a spring welling up to eternal life.

(L)  As the Spirit hovered over the waters at the dawn of creation, the Spirit of God

is with us still.

(R) We have not been left as orphans, for the Spirit of Truth lives in us that we

may live a life worthy of the Lord; bearing fruit in every good work, as we

grow in the knowledge of God.

*Passing of the Peace  (Hope, Unity, Purpose)

Responding to the Word

*Hymn                                            ÒGather Us InÓ

Here in this place, new light is,now is the darkness vanished away.
See, in this space, our fears and our dreamings,

Brought here to you in the light of this day.
Gather us in - the lost and forsaken, gather us in - theand the lame.
Call to us now, and we shall awaken, we shall arise at the sound of our name.

We are the young - our lives are a mystery,we are the old - who yearn for your face.

We have been sung throughout all of history,

Called to be light to the whole human race.
Gather us in - the rich and the haughty, gather us in - the proud and the strong.
Give us aso meek and so lowly, give us the courage to enter the song.

Here we will take the wine and the water, here we will take the bread of new birth.
Here you shall call your sons and your daughters, call us anew to be salt for the earth.
Give us to drink the wine of compassion, give us to eat the bread that is you.
Nourish us well, and teach us to fashion lives that are holy andthat are true.

Not in the dark ofconfining, not in some heaven, light years away,
but here in this place, the new light is shining; now is the Kingdom, now is the day.
Gather us in - and hold us forever, gather us in - and make us your own.
Gather us in - all peoples together, fire of love in our flesh and our bone.

Invitation to Stewardship & Receiving of Tithes & Offerings

Offertory                               ÒFugue in C-majorÓ                                          J.S. Bach

*We Give Thee But Thine Own                                                                (vs. 1-2)

We give Thee but Thine own, Whate'er the gift may be;

All that we have is Thine alone, A trust, O Lord, from Thee.

May we Thy bounties thus As stewards true receive,

And gladly, as Thou blessest us, To Thee our first fruits give.

*Prayer of Thanksgiving & Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power; and the glory, forever.  Amen.

*Hymn                                ÒWe All Are One In MissionÓ                                              435

We all are one in mission, We all are one in call,

Our varied gifts united By Christ, the Lord of all.

A single, great commission Compels us from above

To plan and work together That all may know Christ's love.

We all are called for service To witness in God's name;

Our ministries are different, Our purpose is the same:

To touch the lives of others By God's surprising grace

So every folk and nation May feel God's warm embrace.

Now let us be united And let our song be heard.

Now let us be a vessel For God's redeeming word.

We all are one in mission, We all are one in call,

Our varied gifts united By Christ, the Lord of all.

*Charge and Benediction

*Congregational Response     ÒSong of HopeÓ                                                        432

May the God of hope go with us every day,

Filling all our lives with love and joy and peace.

May the God of justice speed us on our way,

Bringing light and hope to every land and race.

Praying, let us work for peace, Singing, share our joy with all,

Working for a world that's new, Faithful when we hear Christ's call.
